A SUBSIDIARY of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) in Saudi Arabia, BPKH Limited, has begun expanding its business into the field of land transportation by providing a new fleet of buses to serve Hajj and Umrah pilgrims in the Holy Land.

To operate buses, BPKH Limited collaborates with three transportation sharias that have complete permits from Saudi government authorities.

This plan for cooperation with the Kayyan, Huda Al-Hijaaz, and Shaqadif sharia is outlined in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by the parties at the opening of the Amazing Indonesia Expo held by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia at the Al-Mutlaq Building in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

In this collaboration, BPKH Limited will invest by purchasing a number of new buses. The fleet is then operated by sharia bus operators who are registered as Naqabah members to serve Hajj and Umrah pilgrims on the Mecca, Armuzna, Medina and Jeddah routes.

To maintain bus occupancy levels, BPKH Limited also collaborates with the Hajj and Umrah organizing associations, the Umrah Worship Organizing Company (PPIU) and the Special Hajj Worship Company (PIHK).

“We are starting to invest in the land transportation sector to optimize our service to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. “We want to provide the best service with the newest bus fleet and drivers who come from Indonesia so that it makes the congregation more comfortable while traveling in the Holy Land,” explained Sidiq Haryono, Director of BPKH Limited, after signing the MoU between BPKH and several transportation companies.

Sidiq added that his party is currently communicating intensively with Perum Damri as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) with experience as a bus operator to collaborate in serving transportation for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

“We want all red and white elements to collaborate in serving the Indonesian congregation and together get benefits and blessings in the Holy Land,” concluded Sidiq.

The newest service presented by BPKH Limited received a positive response from the ecosystem in the industry. Joko Asmoro, one of the organizers of the Hajj and Umrah organizing association, emphasized that he is ready to support BPKH Limited’s business initiatives.

“We will be happy to use buses from BPKH Limited for special Umrah and Hajj pilgrims, with the hope of affordable prices and excellent quality of new buses. “Moreover, the profits from BPKH Limited will return to the Hajj pilgrims too,” said Joko. (S-1)
