Improving the care of road accident victims in rehabilitation and medico-social services in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur region

The Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur Regional Health Agency is committed to supporting the followingcare and rehabilitation structures and the medico-social services involved in the care of these injured people. Placed 5th the most rugged region with more than 7,500 people injured each year on its roads, the PACA region continues its commitment with a new call for projects.

More than 5 million euros for Paca

Since July 1, 2018, the entire surplus of receipts speed cameras automatic linked to the lowering of the maximum authorized speed and collected by the State, is dedicated the modernization of public and private health establishments for their allows to renovate their premises and procure the equipment necessary for the re-education, rehabilitation and reintegration of the patients treated.

Thanks to the national call for projects launched by ARS Paca in 2019 and 2021, under the aegis of the Ministry of Solidarity and Health and the Road Safety Delegation, the selected establishments were able to acquire :

  • dual control driving simulators and driving school vehicles for driving rehabilitation in rehabilitation centers ;
  • walking assistance exoskeletons, virtual reality headsets, gait analysis devices, assisted rehabilitation devices for the upper limbs, neuro sensory stimulation devices, etc. ;
  • the installation of a therapeutic apartment for the simulation of living conditions at home and the carrying out of work to adapt and modernize the reception areas for patients in rehabilitation centers or medico-social establishments.
