According to a BVA survey (1) carried out for Health Insurance among the general public and general practitioners, private or mixed, if a majority of policyholders consider that it is an opportunity to benefit from the French health system, they are also 42% reported at least one misuse in the last 12 months : forgotten Vitale card during a consultation, direct visit to the emergency room without calling 15, appointment not honored without prior cancellation.

For exemple, 5% of French people recognize at least one appointment that was not honored or canceled during the year.

Forgetting the Vitale card would concern 600,000 appointments each month, all health professionals combined.

On the prevention aspect, still according to the BVA opinion survey carried out for Health Insurance, 15% of French people say they no longer know if they are up to date with their vaccinations and among people who say they have been contacted by mail as part of an organized screening or medical check-up, 41% of people would not follow up.

The objective of the communication campaign is tochallenge the general public on the importance of adopting good reflexes by making them aware of the value of health professionals’ time and by making them aware of the impact of individual behaviors on the entire health system.

A site intended for policyholders was thus designed as an illustrated practical guide to explain in an educational and concrete way the collective benefits of everyone’s good practices throughout a patient’s journey: before and during a consultation, in the event of an emergency and as part of a prevention approach.
