Improvements in bridges and neighborhood sections benefited more than 4,000 inhabitants of the municipalities of Ñeembucú

Asunción, IP Agency.- The new interventions are added to the work carried out from September 13 to 19 in 6 municipalities of the department of Ñeembucú, for the benefit of more than 4,200 residents.

The interventions were carried out by personnel and equipment from the Departmental District No. 12 of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications

The Bridges Section of the MOPC, in coordination with the Municipality of San Juan de Ñeembucú, completed the total repair of the wooden bridge called Taragui, on the Laguna Itá to Ciervo Blanco section, on Wednesday, September 25. This work is crucial for the connectivity of surrounding communities and the transportation of local products.

Likewise, on Monday, September 23, profiling, patching, dipping and platform formation work began on the Montuoso Costa – Guazucua section, improving trafficability and safety for the inhabitants of the area.

Likewise, the recovery of the road from Espinillito to Laureles was carried out, through a joint effort between the government and the MOPC. This inter-institutional collaboration demonstrates the authorities’ commitment to ensuring better connectivity and promoting regional development.

More than 4,200 beneficiaries

During that period, 59 kilometers of local roads were improved, including works in Tacuara, Guazucuá, Desmochados, Villalbín and Laureles.

In Tacuara, the platform was outlined and the strip of domain in the Tacuara-Belén section was cleaned, covering 15 kilometers. In Desmochados, profiling and patching work was carried out with a motor grader on the section towards Villalbín, benefiting 1,700 people along 22 kilometers.

In the community of Villalbín, ditching, patching and profiling were carried out in the section towards Vecinales, and a platform patching with pipe placement, using 800 cubic meters of material.

All these interventions are part of the continuous maintenance plan that is implemented on the routes in the interior of the country, seeking to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants and facilitate the transportation of agricultural products, reports the Ministry of Public Works.
