Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications continues its work to improve rural areas in the department of Cordillera. In this context, maintenance work was recently carried out on local roads that have a positive impact on 980 citizens, ensuring access to essential services such as education, health and supply of products.
In Nueva Colombia, District No. 3 of the MOPC worked on 5.5 kilometers in the areas of Boquerón, Caacupemí and Ciraty, moving 480 cubic meters of material. In Valenzuela, the Rosado Yvate section was also improved with cleaning and platform-forming work along 2.8 kilometers.
In San José Obrero, 2.5 kilometers of the San Juan section were profiled and ditched. In Atyrá, in the areas of Sanja Hu and Mbururú, 590 cubic meters of material were moved over 8.9 kilometers.
In Emboscada, the clearing of the right-of-way strip at kilometer 100 of Route PY03 was also carried out, while in Juan de Mena, the Regina Mareco section was worked on for 8.2 kilometers, mobilizing 600 cubic meters.
These improvements not only optimize road infrastructure, but also directly impact the quality of life of communities, facilitating access to essential services and enhancing the transit of goods and people. In this way, the government contributes to local development and the well-being of families who depend on these roads for their daily activities, reported the Ministry of Public Works.
