Improvement of rural roads facilitates access to essential services for more than 3,000 residents of Misiones

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications carried out intensive road maintenance work through its District No. 8 in the department of Misiones, which improves the connectivity of rural communities, facilitating access to essential services and economic opportunities for an estimated population of 3,270 inhabitants in four districts.

The works, carried out with the support of the Government of Misiones and the municipalities between August 5 and 9, 2024, covered four districts, significantly improving rural road infrastructure.

Among the main activities carried out, the patching of 10 km of platform in the 29 de Octubre settlement of Santa María, the storage of material in the Costa Poi company and the patching of the section between the 4 Bocas company and the San Antonio Paracau company stand out.

At the same time, in Santiago, patching was carried out on the platform between the San Felipe and Yacarey companies.

In San Ignacio, the clearing of the domain strip was carried out at the Escuelita Santo Domingo company and the Laurelty settlement. In San Miguel, ditches were profiled and shaped at the Ysypó company and branches. Finally, in San Juan Bautista, patching and platform profiling were carried out in the Tristán Zalazar community.

In total, 25 km of roads were worked on, moving 1,370 m³ of material, with a variety of equipment including motor graders, vibratory compactors, backhoes and dump trucks from the Ministry of Public Works.
