Asunción, IP Agency.- It is through Operation San Bernardino 2024-2025, which was launched this Monday by the National Electricity Administration, during an event chaired by the owner, Félix Sosa and the local municipal mayor, Emigdio Ruíz Díaz. This operation involved the participation of 50 officials organized into 20 teams and will directly benefit more than 15,000 local clients, as well as 40,000 tourists and visitors who enjoy this summer destination each year.
It is in order to guarantee a reliable electricity supply to attract more tourists and make San Bernardino a safer and more attractive destination for everyone, through work on adaptations and reinforcements of the electrical infrastructure, with an investment of G. 20,000 million.
The head of Ande presented the action plan established for the city of San Bernardino; He thanked the constant support and highlighted the teamwork, necessary for the execution of maintenance and works in the area, with the aim of accompanying the growth of consumption and putting the electrical infrastructure in condition for this summer.
In turn, Mayor Ruíz Díaz pointed out that the city is a privileged place and that it is experiencing continuous progress, in addition to thanking the ANDE team for the work that is being carried out in the area.
During this operation, the comprehensive maintenance of 7 23,000 volt feeders from the Altos and Itauguá substations is planned, which supply energy to the city and its surroundings. Tasks include cutting branches, changing crossheads and maintaining distribution equipment.
Considering the growth in consumption in the area, the facility will put into service a new Medium Voltage line from the Altos Substation this summer, with an investment of G. 12,000 million. With this new infrastructure, the city of San Bernardino will be served with 8 23,000 volt feeders.
Likewise, the reinforcement and maintenance of around 200 electrical distribution posts throughout the city will be carried out, along with the installation of 40 new distribution transformers to increase power in strategic sectors.
Preventive maintenance will also be carried out at the Altos Substation, to guarantee the continuity of the electrical service and avoid interruptions during the summer season.
In addition, 200 new public lighting fixtures will be installed, and maintenance will be carried out on existing luminaires to beautify the city and contribute to greater safety and visibility for residents and tourists, reports Ande.
