Important event at the Lakers and big indication for the future!

Back to school is Monday for the Lakers, who will have a pretty busy day. Many photos are planned for the media, while the players and the members of the front office will have to answer questions from the journalists, following a somewhat hectic summer. While waiting for the recovery, LeBron James has indeed organized his own meeting, with a notable absentee.

October is approaching for the NBA, which means that games will soon be able to resume. The 30 league franchises will already be on the court next week with the traditional training camp, which will be important for the players to get to know each other better and lay the foundations for a possible good season. Many are looking forward to this appointment, while others prefer to anticipate and get ahead of everyone.

This is the case with the Lakers, which will not surprise anyone knowing that LeBron James is in the roster. The latter is a regular since he organizes a “mini-camp” every year, a few days before the one organized by his team. The particularity ? All members of the workforce are invited, and no one else, not even coaches like Darvin Ham for example.

The Lakers roster already final at the dawn of the recovery

As confirmed by Dave McMenamin, journalist for ESPN, the Angelinos met this Friday on the side of San Diego, to start their season. All the players were present for this meeting, including Russell Westbrook, which can be seen as an indication for the future. Knowing that James has brought everyone together to prepare for the exercise, it is hard to imagine that Rob Pelinka will organize a trade in the coming days.

The Lakers player-led mini-camp started this morning in San Diego. All the players were there, sources tell ESPN. The official training camp begins Monday with Media Day in El Segundo.

A strong enough message for the players present, fully involved before a season which promises to be particularly difficult in Los Angeles, with inevitably a lot of pressure at the end. Small detail to note all the same, there was indeed an absentee for the first day, namely Dennis Schroder. It must be said that the German has a good excuse:

Update: New point guard Dennis Schroder is planning his family’s move to Los Angeles and was unable to attend for the first day, according to a source.

All the players, or almost, were at the appointment set by LeBron James for this mini-training camp in San Diego. The kickoff of the season is officially given for this roster, which does not mean that a great season is preparing thanks to such an appointment. Let the players be reassured, it will be difficult to do worse than last year in any case.
