“During this week, all the collaboration that took place brought out the co-production side,” she said, adding that the Moroccan directors and their Ivorian counterparts “gave us satisfaction through discussion and the encounters they had.

“The Ivorian films screened for a week in front of a large audience have made it possible to show what we know how to do in Côte d’Ivoire”, pointed out Ms. Diomande Lison, explaining that future partnerships between the two countries will give pride of place to training, production and cooperation.

During the closing ceremony, the two officials announced that a “Moroccan Cinema Week” will take place next year in Côte d’Ivoire.

The closing of this edition was also marked by the screening of the feature film “Le ticket à tout prix” by its director Alain Guikou. This 100-minute film tells the story of Bony, an unemployed young man who leads an unpleasant life and is mocked by society. Faced with this situation, Bony is forced to reluctantly take a lottery ticket, which will completely change his life.

According to the organizers, the holding of this event during the same period as the National Film Festival was an opportunity for festival-goers and African nationals residing in Tangier, in particular the Ivorian community, to follow recent Ivorian film production and offered Ivorian and Moroccan professionals the opportunity to meet and discuss future cooperation and co-production projects.
