South African Daryl Impey (Israel-Premier Tech) won the sprint of the 4th stage of the Tour de Suisse, disputed on Wednesday over 191 km between Granges and Brunnen.
Britain’s Stephen Williams (Bahrain) remains in the lead overall.
Daryl Impey won strong in Brunnen, where he beat Australian Michael Matthews (2nd) and Dane Sören Kragh Andersen (3rd) to pick up the 30th success of his career. Best Helvetian overall with his 5th place, Stefan Küng finished 10th in this sprint, while Marc Hirschi was 15th.
A Swiss was highlighted in the last difficulty of the day, the Sattel. The Valaisan Sébastien Reichenbach broke company with the peloton in the last hectometres of the ascent, without however managing to widen the gap. He should try his luck once more on Friday or Saturday.
