In this regard, the Ministry of Health and Population, through its official account on the “Instagram” website, recommended drinking warm drinks, and the reason is due to its high content of antioxidants, which contribute to strengthening immunity.

The Ministry identified the most prominent warm drinks that strengthen the immune system as follows:

– mint.

– Tea.

– Carnations.

– The ring.

– Anise.

– Fennel.

She explained that these drinks are also characterized by containing a high percentage of oils, which contribute to expelling the phlegm accumulated in the throat and lungs and fighting infections.

Earlier, the ministry published a tweet that included a list of the most prominent foods that contribute to strengthening immunity, namely:

1- Foods rich in vitamin C

Citrus fruits, such as oranges, lemons and tangerines.

– the strawberry.

– Guava.

Colored pepper.

Some types of vegetables, such as broccoli and spinach.


2- Foods rich in vitamin A

– carrots.

– sweet potato.

– tomatoes.

Liver.

– Pumpkin.

– Mango.

Dark leafy green vegetables, such as watercress and spinach.


3- Foods rich in zinc

Red meat, but be careful not to overdo it.

Legumes, such as chickpeas, lentils and beans.

– Dairy products.

– eggs.

– Nuts.


4- Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids

– olive oil.

Flax seeds.

Chia seeds.

Fatty fish, such as mackerel and tuna.

The duration of exposure to the sun in the morning to strengthen immunity

The tweet also included recommendations for the importance of exposure to sunlight daily, for a period of 10 to 15 minutes, to provide the body with a good dose of vitamin D, which helps raise immunity and improve bone health.
