Immortals Fenyx Rising had first raised eyebrows for its graphic proximity (and in fact its proximity at all…) with Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. And indeed, the collages of screenshots that showed the game as a kind of cut-and-paste of Link’s adventures weren’t completely in bad faith.
However, if he was “inspired” by Zelda, the game was no less successful, and we welcome the idea of a sequel with great enthusiasm!
It’s in the podcast of Jeff Grubbwhose many rumors he can launch often prove to be true, that we learn that the sequel toImmortals Fenyx Rising would be in preparation, and would be a spin off rather than a sequel per se. Finished, in fact, the Greco-Roman gods and legends, the game would leave to explore the Polynesian mythologies.
A first point of satisfaction lies in the fact that this announcement (which is still only a rumour) allows us to get out of the tunnel of Norse mythology in which the video game seems stuck for too long months; another good news, Jeff Grubb understands that the development teams want to keep the very graphic and colorful aspect of the game, but move away from the style of Breath of the Wild.
Still, even if all this information is strictly accurate, the title would only be at the very beginning of its development chain, and will not appear for a few years. Grubb evokes at least 2025. While waiting for this second chance for the license, if you missed out onImmortals Fenix Rising, this news may be an opportunity for you to discover the game, which, we promise, contains a large dose of fun. Especially since it is on sale on both Xbox, PlayStation, Switch (at €17.50, €21 and €15 respectively).
