CP+ 2023. Samyang, the Korean lens manufacturer, has just teased on its social networks the announcement of a new Fujifilm X mount lens for the February 28, 2023a few days following the end of CP+ 2023 in Yokohama, Japan.
The manufacturer does not give any more information on the lens model that should be offered, except that it will be a APS-C prime lens since dedicated to Fujifilm’s X mount. It might thus be the second Samyang lens for APS-C mirrorless Fujifilm following the AF 12mm f/2 X.
We also imagine that this objective will be equipped with a autofocus, since it is the current strategy of the manufacturers. Looking at the image more closely, we note that this lens roughly takes up the design of the latest lenses launchedsuch as the Samyang AF 85mm f/1.4 FE II with in particular a large focusing ring with a micro-patterned texture and a CUSTOM switch allowing you to quickly change the operation of the single ring present on the lens .
On the Chinese social network Weibo, some users have already shared product photos of a lens that might be a 75mm f/1.8 aperture. Let’s wait until February 28 to be fixed.
