The United Nations called on Monday evening for an immediate humanitarian truce to stop the conflict in the Gaza Strip

It is noteworthy that French President Emmanuel Macron had said that his country was keeping pace with the efforts made by Egypt to open the Rafah crossing, indicating in a tweet on his X website account that Paris would soon allocate a “special flight” carrying emergency humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

On Friday evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron, where the two presidents discussed the latest developments in the current military escalation in the Gaza Strip, and efforts to contain the situation.

The French President praised Egypt’s efforts in this regard, especially its leadership role in coordinating the delivery of humanitarian aid to the sector.

The two presidents stressed the utmost necessity to ensure the flow of aid in a way that limits the deterioration of the humanitarian conditions in Gaza. They also agreed on the seriousness of the current situation, especially in light of the uncalculated consequences of expanding the circle of conflict on the stability of the region.
