IMF predicts difficult months for China

The year 2023 is already shaping up to be difficult. This is what Kristalina Gorgieva, director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), told the American television channel CBS on Sunday. “The recession will affect a third of the countries of the planet and the year which begins will be more difficult than the twelve previous months, she warned. The next two months will be particularly difficult for China due to the spread of covid. The United States, the European Union (EU) and China are all experiencing a simultaneous slowdown.”
