WASHINGTON, March 10 (Archyde.com) – International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said on Thursday she expects pressure to mount on Russia to end the war in Ukraine, given the spillover effects it is having on economies. of all the world.

Georgieva told CNBC that she had spoken with a Chinese central bank official on Wednesday, who expressed grave concern about the loss of human life and suffering in Ukraine.

He added that the IMF is preparing to revise down its forecast for world economic growth as a result of the war and the deep sanctions imposed on Russia.

However, he stressed that he continues to expect a “positive trajectory” for the world economy.
