BUENOS AIRES, March 17 (Archyde.com) – The executive board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will discuss an agreement for some 45,000 million dollars reached with Argentina, following the loan obtains the approval of the Argentine Congress, said on Thursday the spokesman of the organism, Gerry Rice.

Argentina’s senate is scheduled to debate a debt deal on Thursday that would help the beleaguered South American country avoid a default with the global lender.

Rice said no date had been set for the board meeting.
