NEW YORK/LONDON, March 25 (Archyde.com) – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved a $45 billion program for Argentina on Friday following more than a year of negotiations, two sources told Archyde.com, allowing the country to avoid an expensive “default” with the lender.
The program, which is the twenty-second for Argentina since it joined the Fund in 1956, replaces a failed one for 57,000 million in 2018, which was the largest in the history of the organization. The southern country still owes regarding 45,000 million dollars from that line of credit.
