• Monday July 3 – The Piton de la Fournaise puts on a show
The Piton de la Fournaise woke up this Sunday, July 2, 2023, for the very first time this year. The volcano began to show signs of waking up at 7:36 a.m. and the eruption was confirmed around 8:30 a.m. on the eastern flank of the enclosure. The eruption continues for its second day on Monday, on the east and south-east flank of the volcano. Two cracks are open. The show is visible from the lava road
• Tuesday July 4 – Baccalaureate: it’s time for the results for the 11,998 candidates of the Academy
Admitted, remedial, failed?… This Tuesday, July 4, 2023, is D-Day for the 11,998 candidates for the new version baccalaureate from Reunion. On June 26, 2023, Insee (National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies) unveiled – as every month – the consumer price index in Reunion. Food, tobacco, energy… almost everything goes through it. Indeed, researchers from the Paster Institute have revealed that the tiger mosquito is now capable of transmitting these two new viruses.
