Imarat to the fullness of Ramadan Madhyamam

Only hours to the holy night of Ramadan. It is predicted that Ramadan will start in the UAE from Wednesday. For the past four years, the devotees spent the fasting period under restrictions following the Covid pandemic. But this time, no restrictions including masks are mandatory in mosques. The Iftar gathering will also not have any particular obstacles.

As part of the preparations for Ramadan, repairs and other works have been completed in the mosques and related systems. Work is also underway to prepare special facilities in restaurants and hotels. It is expected that iftar tents will be set up in more places this time. Expatriate organizations will also come forward in collaboration with government systems to break the fast including in labor camps.

During Ramadan, working hours are reduced in workplaces and schools. Employees under the UAE Federal Government are allowed to work from home on Fridays during Ramadan. The exemption was granted on the special instructions of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. According to the order, 70 percent of the employees will get relaxation. But the rest will have to come to the office and do the work. As well as in public schools and universities

A similar relaxation has been announced for students. Distance learning will be arranged for them on Fridays. But this will not affect the exams scheduled earlier. The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has suggested that federal ministries and authorities should introduce hassle-free working hours during Ramadan. The FAHR circular also informed that the working hours in ministries and federal institutions will be from 9 am to 2.30 pm. But it has been clarified in the circular that if the nature of the work demands, they can work more hours. Institutions are also allowed to change working hours as per the law.
