Riyadh: Imam Sheikh Dr. Mahir Almuiqali collapsed. After finishing the Jumu’ah sermon, the imam collapsed immediately following starting the prayer.

Immediately following the imam, Sheikh Abdurrahman Alsudais, the head of the religious affairs section of the Haram, who participated in the prayer, took the lead and completed the prayer. Shaikh Dr. Mahir Almuiqali was immediately shifted to the hospital. He is said to have recovered.

Umrah Pilgrims Insurance Cover up to Rs 22 Lakhs

RIYADH: The Ministry of Hajj Umrah has stated that the mandatory insurance policy for foreign Umrah pilgrims will cover up to 22 lakh rupees (one lakh Saudi Riyals). This insurance is mandatory for all pilgrims coming from outside Saudi Arabia. It has many benefits. The ministry also explained that the fee for the Umrah visa also includes the charge for the insurance policy.

The benefits are to the insured person in the policy. The Ministry also stated that comprehensive insurance coverage is provided to the policyholder in case of emergency health cases, emergency ‘Covid-19’ cases, general accidents and deaths, flight cancellation or delay. Emergency health care includes treatment, hospitalization, pregnancy and childbirth, dental emergencies, traffic accident injuries, dialysis emergencies, and internal and external medical evacuation.

Accidental permanent disability, accidental death cases, death due to natural calamities, repatriation of the deceased and court ordered blood money are the general coverages included in the insurance policy. The ministry also clarified that compensation for flight delays and cancellations will be included in these travel coverages.
