The worshipers stood behind Imam Al-Sudais, waiting for the Witr prayer to be performed and the Qunoot supplication to be performed, but he surprised them by saying: “O fellow worshipers, I would like to point out that it is Sunnah for the imam to sometimes leave the Qunoot supplication in the Witr prayer, and this is what we will do tonight, God willing.”

The page of the Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques on the X website (formerly Twitter) said: “His Excellency the President of Religious Affairs explains to the Tarawih worshipers in the Grand Mosque that it is Sunnah for the imam to sometimes leave the supplication of Qunoot in the Witr prayer.
