“Imagine a former prime minister in any party other than ERE made this statement” says in his post the president of SYRIZA – PS Stefanos Kasselakis, following the words, from the floor of the Parliament, of former prime minister Antonis Samaras, opposing the bill for same-sex couples, whose vote is expected on Thursday night (2/15).
Mr. Kasselakis specifically commented on the phrase of Mr. Samaras: “Obviously I will vote once morest, same-sex marriage is not a human right.”
“No comment, he is expressing his personal views” state government sources following what was said by the former prime minister.
Mr. Samaras also spoke of a “fundamental overturn of family law”.
“Today just before an important conscience vote I will ask you to forget everything else and listen to your conscience. I don’t want to argue with anyone, nor to caress ears”, said Antonis Samaras in the Parliament.
