O leaker Unkownnz21 Leaked alleged images of the entry model of the future line “iPhone 15” — less than a week following releasing an image of what would be the USB-C port of the “iPhone 15 Pro” which, like the other devices in the line, will gain entry to comply with determinations imposed by the European Union.
In the new images, which were published on Twitter and released by MacRumors, it is possible to have a superficial view of the front and bottom of the future device. In addition to the USB-C port, the big visible change compared to the iPhone 14 is the apparent double cutout that will possibly house the Dynamic Island.
This increase is in line with rumors that indicate its arrival on the “cheaper” models of the future iPhone — which, if it happens, will only repeat Apple’s well-known strategy of launching features first in the Pro models to migrate them to the more basic devices of the line in the following generations.
As the images are of an alleged “iPhone 15” in an embryonic stage, it is possible that Apple implemented later changes to the design – albeit unlikely.
It is also difficult to identify any more detailed details, since the person responsible for the leak requested that the quality of the images be reduced to make it difficult to identify them. According to leakerthe original files are much more detailed as in the previous leak.
Renders “confirm” images
Still talking regarding the basic “iPhone 15”, the 9to5Mac gained access to the CAD filesComputer aided designor computer-aided design.”>1 of the device. Renders produced by the site in partnership with the designer Ian Zelbo confirm the presence of Dynamic Island and the USB-C port, as well as indicating that the device may have a larger screen, 6.2 inches.
Otherwise — as seen in the images shared by Unkownz21 — the device looks quite similar to the incoming iPhone 14. The files indicate that it will have the same set of two cameras and will not have the capacitive buttons that appear to be present in the files referring to the “iPhone 15 Pro”.
The increase in screen size, even if minimal, may represent Apple’s direction towards the end of the Plus model – which should happen in 2024, according to Mark Gurman. With sales of the iPhone 14 Plus below expectations, Apple intends to give it just one more chance to “revenge” with this year’s lineup.
