Vienna (OTS) – “IM ZENTRUM” changes the topic due to the current events: “Chaos in the Kremlin – how much is Putin’s rule shaking?”:
The long-simmering power struggle between President Vladimir Putin and Yevgeny Prigozchin, head of the Wagner mercenary group, is escalating. Prigozhin invaded Russia from Ukraine and wants to advance to Moscow with armed troops. In a hastily scheduled TV speech, Putin describes this action as treason and armed mutiny.
How stable is Putin’s rule in the face of the Wagner Group uprising? Will the power struggle turn into civil war? How will the Russian army behave in this conflict? Are events in Russia marking a turning point in the war of aggression once morest Ukraine?

From 7.00 a.m. to 11.05 a.m. there is a “ZIB Spezial” on the programme, at 11.05 a.m. the “Europe Studio” on ORF 2 will focus on the “Russian Crisis – The Consequences for Europe”. Another “ZIB Spezial” will follow at 1:00 p.m. (until 1:30 p.m.).
