Ex-Indian captain IM Vijayan reached Thritala invigorating the World Cup excitement. The former Indian player came to inaugurate the ‘History and Present of Football’ Open Forum held in Njangatiri as part of the Soccer Carnival.
MP Sivasankaran presided. Footballer P Habib Rahman, Journalists AN Ravindradas, Sreeja Shyam, Rajeev Ramachandran, Kapoor Panchayat President Sharafuddin Kalam, CPI-M Area Committee Member V Anirudhan, Local Secretary M Umashankar, T Unnikrishnan, P Jayakumar and Zubair Vazhakad spoke.
Stallions beat Mataya, Kadav FC in a football match held as part of the Soccer Carnival. IM Vijayan distributed the prizes.
The goal vandi journey as part of the program has concluded. The goal van which traveled to all the eight panchayats of the constituency was flagged off by Kerala Police Football Team Captain VG Sriraag (Ambadi) at the Kodikkun Center in Paruthur Panchayat.
