The note is with a foreword that this is a film that has been sought following for years. He says that the one in the picture is Jose Parampan and it was this great man’s hand that started his journey to the person IM Vijayan is today. ‘Paramban sir was willing to make any sacrifice to make a child who was nothing a well-known ball player. He was the one who took him to Ernakulam by bus to show him the Nehru Cup, who had no world beyond Thrissur….’
He asks how he might not thank God when his photo suddenly came into his hands, filled with tears.

The picture I’ve been looking for for years. Today, when it came into my hands by chance, my eyes filled with tears. Memories of an unforgettable time in life came flooding back. How can I not thank God for bringing this picture into my hands?
This is Jose Paramban. I started my journey to the person you know today I am Vijayan, the player, holding the hand of this great man. He must have seen something special in a child who was playing around with a cloth ball. That is why I was forcibly taken to the sports council’s three-year camp.
Parampan sir was willing to make any sacrifice to make a child who was nothing a famous ball player. He was the one who took him to Ernakulam by bus to show him the Nehru Cup, who had no world beyond Thrissur. That journey of leaving all the hustle and bustle of life aside for the sake of a nobody’s child. So many memories.
Who was Jose Paramban to me? You can call me a guru, a guide or someone who loved me like his own son. He laid the foundation for all my growth as a footballer. My football career starts from that foundation.
Paramban sir is not with us today. However, there is not even a single day in my life that I do not think regarding him and bow to him in my mind. This picture takes me back to those memories. Here are those never-fading, never-dying memories that make my eyes water even this moment…
Regards, Sir Jose Paramban…
