During a new edition of Meganews dawnsthe last of 2022, Natasha Kennard paused following Jaime Leyton’s weather forecast.
Immediately followingwards, his driving partner, Simón Oliveros, launched: “Sayonara, I’m leaving.” Then she added: “The last day of our dear Simon in Meganews dawns” and commented that “I am going to cry”, and then give him a hug.
Immediately followingwards, from the production he proceeded to give him some gifts, among which stood out a mug of coffee that said “Thanks for everything by canyengue”, a characteristic expression of the journalist.
“Simón is not leaving Mega, you are going to focus on your work as a Pleased to meet you”, Natasha clarified. “But we are going to miss you very much, you are a tremendous companion.”
Parting words
Then, Simón proceeded to speak: “I was thinking regarding what to say at this moment”, but “following they take you out of context, so I better say something very reassuring”.
“When you work in journalism on a collective project, you always have to be attentive to the plays,” he stated in a footballing tone. “Just as I didn’t ask when they put me in, nor when they take me out, as Gary Medel said.”
For now, “I’m going to be in the Nice to meet you accompanying them every morning”, he remarked, in fact, later he would appear doing an office at the Santiago bus terminal. “Happy to continue on the channel, obviously.”
Later, he dedicated a few words to the public of the morning news:
—They are the people who wake up the earliest, the most sacrificed, the ones who are finishing their shift, I thank them for their infinite love. Finally, I don’t like it when people don’t like me, so receiving love is wonderful and one feels paid as a professional.
Then he quoted another soccer idol: “Now, as Juan Román Riquelme would say, I want to go home, have some mates, have a barbecue, rest, have a good time.” From there he commented that “we’re going to get up a little later, we’re going to ride our bikes once more in the morning, so cheer up, canyengue.”
