‘I’m back’ – Trump on Facebook after ban lifted

Washington: Former US President Donald Trump’s Facebook and YouTube accounts have been restored. Trump’s Facebook account and YouTube channel have been banned for more than two years. Trump’s social media accounts have been taken down following being accused of inciting violence at the US Capitol.

Trump announced his comeback on YouTube by sharing a 12-second video of his 2016 election victory speech saying, “I’m back.” Trump also says that he is sorry for keeping you waiting, he was in the middle of very complicated issues.

The 76-year-old Trump has announced that he will contest the presidential election once more. 3.4 crore people follow Trump on Facebook. He has 2.6 million subscribers on YouTube.

With the lifting of the ban, YouTube officials have clarified that Trump can now share anything. In January, Meta announced that Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts would be restored.

Trump is followed by 8.7 crore people on Twitter. After the Twitter ban, Trump came out with his own social media account called Truth Social. Of these, less than five million people have subscribed to Trump.
