But that primary need is as follows”, Giedrė Getiauskienė, Head of Client and Financing Solutions at ILTE, told journalists on Monday.
“They would be in Lithuania, some are investors investing in Lithuania, coming from outside Lithuania. We have the interest of foreign investors to create business in Lithuania”, she said.
G. Getiauskienė explained that at the moment she cannot reveal which foreign investors are interested in activities in Lithuania.
“I can’t name (which country’s investors – BNS) because we don’t have many of those projects, it would be quite easy to track them down. After we have made the decision, we still have to go through the process before signing the contract, when the agreement to finance our client is established, then we publicize it if the client agrees to publicize the transaction,” said the ILTE board member.
“It’s the drone companies, and then there’s those actual defense companies, the weapons, in other words, and there’s the electronic components as well,” she said, commenting on the companies that submitted applications.
ILTE announced at the end of August that according to the financial loan instrument “Milijardas verslui” an additional 250 million is allocated to finance the projects of defense companies. euros. Until then, only Lithuanian companies could use the funds of this measure.
