This disgusting find is hard to believe: Grace and Rob Jones from Crystal Lake (Illinois) actually only wanted to renovate their bathroom – but they came across something bizarre. In the cavity of a wall they found the remains of an old Happy Meal – including fries. As it turns out, the McDonald’s order is apparently around 63 years old. This is reported by the “Today Show”.
McDonald’s: Illinois couple find Happy Meal while renovating
The couple from the USA bought the 63-year-old house in 2015. After moving in, they gradually renovated the rooms. Now the bathroom and the kitchen were on the agenda for spring.
But when Rob tore down the bathroom wall on April 16, he came across the bizarre find. There was a McDonald’s box in the wall: a Happy Meal – including fries. “Apparently someone had accidentally forgotten their lunch in the wall. I found it even more unappetizing that the fries weren’t completely rotten following all this time,” said Rob on the “Today Show”.

Happy Meal found in house wall – McDonald’s packaging over 60 years old
A look at the McDonald’s packaging shows that the Happy Meal must be quite old – and it must have been on the wall for a long time. Because the discovered packaging paper with the mascot “Speedee” at the time has not been available from the fast food chain since around 1969.
However, Grace’s mother still remembers the opening of the local McDonald’s in 1959 – and the old wrapping paper with the design of the time. Accordingly, the discovered Happy Meal should be around 63 years old. (jaw)
