As part of Operation Roraima 2022, officials from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) destroy illegal mining camps in Canaima.

The military troops continue in security and defense work once morest the armed groups that violate “the territorial legal system and environmental laws,” according to the information of General in Chief Domingo Hernández Lárez, strategic operational commander of the Fanb.

In the Canaima National Park, they have dismantled structures linked to illegal mining using non-traditional methods in the open sky, in which they do not comply with any type of regulation.

The authorities have collected weapons of war, boats and clothing associated with criminal groups.

The deployment that began in Tumeremo at the end of October, remains in the south of Bolívar state as protection of forest reserves, forests and national parks.
