In the 49th episode of ‘MasterChef Celebrity Colombia’, there were many emotions as it raised various expectations for the participants still in the competition during this eighth cycle in front of the kitchens. Each participant received a card highlighting four types of preparations: rice pudding, creamy rice, rice with chicken, and fried rice. The challenge included a pin of immunity and a potential black apron, but with this came a new rule in ‘MasterChef Celebrity Colombia’, which stated that anyone wearing a black apron who creates an outstanding dish could remove it and give it to another participant.
The preparation lasted for 60 minutes, and tension filled each station, as every participant, except for Vicky Berrío who was in the balcony after winning a pin of immunity in the previous edition, unleashed their creativity to impress.

At the end of the challenge, the best dishes were evaluated by chefs Nicolás de Zubiría, Adria Marina, and Jorge Rausch. Juan Pablo Llano’s dish stood out as he presented a meal similar to the one that earned him a pin of immunity, specifically in episode 42 with chicken skins, which he prepared again, earning his first slap from Jorge Rausch and the seventeenth of the current season of ‘MasterChef Celebrity Colombia’.

Ilenia Antonini breaks the record for slaps from Rausch and surpasses Paola Rey
Later, Ilenia Antonini’s dish was evaluated; she worked on a rice pudding called “let’s see if I get married,” which was a strained cream to which she added arequipe, surprising the chefs despite it being her first attempt. She thus earned her fourth slap and the eighteenth of the competition.

Carolina Cuervo opposes Juan Pablo Llano for winning the immunity pin
It was then announced that, although all the dishes presented at the atrium were well made, except for Dominica Duque’s dish, which was undercooked, so Jorge Rausch immediately assigned her the black apron, the winner of the immunity pin was Juan Pablo Llano, which upset Carolina Cuervo.

Jorge Rausch’s slaps in ‘MasterChef Colombia’
With this, Jorge Rausch has given 18 slaps; the first two were to actress Paola Rey with Brian Moreno in a pair challenge in episode 8. Medalist Caterine Ibargüen received the third slap in episode 13.
The fourth slap went again to Paola Rey in episode 19 during the elimination challenge, then the fifth to Carolina Cuervo in episode 20, the sixth to Ilenia Antonini in episode 22 for some profiteroles, and the seventh to Franko Bonilla in episode 25 of ‘MasterChef Celebrity Colombia’. Ilenia Antonini received the eighth slap in episode 29 for a tiramisu.
The ninth was also for Ilenia Antonini in episode 32 with a team challenge alongside Vicky Berrío, Alejandro Estrada, and Marcela Gallego. In episode 35, which featured an egg challenge inspired by the mothers of the participants, the thirteenth slap went to Roberto Cano for a changua.
During episode 38, the fourteenth slap was given to Alejandro Estrada, and the fifteenth to actress Nina Caicedo for a mole in a Mexican challenge. The sixteenth slap was awarded to Marcela Gallego for edible coals in episode 44.

A pesar de los buenos resultados de los platos en la final, se produjo cierta controversia debido a que Juan Pablo Llano fue anunciado como el ganador del pin de inmunidad, lo cual generó el descontento de Carolina Cuervo, quien argumentó que Ilenia merecía el pin por su preparación innovadora.
