The Île-de-France Region is firmly committed to the fight once morest pollution and supporting the ecological transition in the automotive sector. With its new policy, the region offers considerable financial support for buyers of electric and hydrogen vehicles, marking a major turning point in the environmental approach and industrial sovereignty.

A financial boost for individuals in the Ile-de-France region

This initiative mainly targets residents of Île-de-France. The region has increased aid for the purchase of electric vehicles by 50%, now allowing a subsidy of up to 9,000 euros. This measure is extended to all residents of the outer suburbs, eliminating the previous obligation to work in a Low Emission Mobility Zone (ZFE). For hydrogen vehicles, the aid is even more generous, reaching 15,000 euros.

Strict ecological criteria for eligible vehicles

To benefit from this aid, vehicles must meet specific ecological criteria. The final assembly of electric cars must take place in a European Union country where CO2 emissions for electricity production are less than 110 g per kWh, a standard respected by France. This requirement underlines the region’s commitment to eco-responsible local production.

Increased support for businesses and extension to municipalities

Businesses are not being left behind. The region has increased the number of eligible vehicles per company, with particular attention to vans. For hydrogen vehicles, aid for utility vehicles and heavy goods vehicles rises to 30,000 euros. In addition, the eligibility of the system is extended to municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants for their municipal fleet, demonstrating the desire to involve all territorial stakeholders.

A positive outcome and a long-term commitment

Since 2017, the region has supported the acquisition of more than 16,000 clean vehicles, with an investment of 40 million euros. This positive outcome is part of a long-term vision to reduce pollution and promote innovative ecological solutions. The Île-de-France Region is thus positioning itself as a key player in the transition towards cleaner and more sustainable mobility.
