REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — A vocal group from Italy The celebrity will hold a concert in Jakarta in November. This multinational classical music vocal group plans to hold a concert titled “Il Divo A New Day Tour 2023” on November 11, 2023 at the JIExpo Theater, Kemayoran, Jakarta.
Il Divo, which consists of Urs Buhler (tenor), David Miller (tenor), and Sebastien Izambard, plans to partner with Indonesian singer Lesti Kejora to collaborate on the concert. In this concert, the vocal group will present Steven Labrie as spesial guest vocalist to replace vocal Carlos Marín (baritone) who died of Covid-19 in December 2021.
“By presenting Lesti Kejora, we also want to show the Indonesian public that classical music can collaborate with other musical genres on one stage, including dangdut music,” said Wisang.
ConcertKita’s CEO, Wisanggeni Basuki, revealed that since the beginning of 2023, the entertainment business, especially music concert performances, has begun to stretch and be held in many parts of Indonesia. However, he regretted that classical music concerts are still rarely shown following the Covid-19 pandemic
“We are very proud to be able to bring Il Divo back to Jakarta. Even though this is not the first time Il Divo has come to Jakarta, in 2023 Il Divo will be back on a tour to Asia and stop by Indonesia,” Wisang said in a written statement, Tuesday (1/1 8/2023).
Through this concert, fans of classical music can witness Il Divo’s performances even more intimately. Talking regarding the concept of the concert, Wisang promises a spectacular performance in indoor venue in the form of the grandest theater with sound system the best, namely at the JIExpo Theater, Kemayoran, Jakarta which is very suitable for classical music performances.
“The concert will allow fans to witness Il Divo performances more comfortably, intimateand certainly will be very magnificent,” said Wisang.
Meanwhile, Lesti Kejora revealed that he really did not expect to be given the opportunity to perform with Il Divo. For the singer who was born on August 5, this offer cannot be passed up.
