IKANG Fawzi was devastated by the sudden death of his wife, Marissa Haque, on Wednesday (2/10). Ikang, along with his two children and relatives, participated in burying Marissa Haque at Tanah Kusir Cemetery, South Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon.
At that moment, Ikang couldn’t hold back his tears and his body went limp. However, he still tried to be strong by joining in burying him in the grave and praying to his wife.
“I want to thank my friends who were here to offer prayers and encouragement until the burial of my beloved wife, Marissa Grace Allen Haque,” said Ikang Fawzi after burying his wife, while holding back his tears at the Tanah Kusir TPU, South Jakarta, Wednesday, (2/10).

“I am lucky, O Allah, to be your husband (Marissa). I’m lucky. She is a great strong woman. “She was trying to get a professorship, until that point I said my wife was very different,” recalled Ikang.
Ikang and Marissa are affectionately called my love. Even though he couldn’t believe what he was facing, Ikang tried to be sincere.
“But our love for this age is already love because of Allah. All our love is because of Allah. So, if Allah calls my wife, I am sincere. I love you, Love,” continued Ikang.

“We are together, which I say is that we love each other because we love Allah. If today he is called, Allah will love him more.”
Ikang Fawzi also asked those who know his wife to also pray. He considered that his wife was a good person towards everyone.
“He was extraordinary good, 38 years we were together. That’s what I said, we love each other because we love Allah. I am very lucky, he gets along with a lot of people and is a hard worker.”
Ikang Fawzi and Marissa Haque married in 1986, after they both starred in the same film, Let the Moon (1986). (M-4)
