IJsselderby ends in a draw again

Just like in Zwolle, the second edition of the IJsselderby also ended 1-1. Lennart Thy and Mats Deijl scored the goals following the break. Due to the draw, PEC Zwolle remains undefeated this calendar year.

Schendelaar important once more

Jasper Schendelaar is in excellent form and that was no different on Sunday followingnoon. An easily given penalty to the home team was cleverly saved by Schendelaar. Victor Edvardsen’s attempt went into the bottom right corner, but that was also where the goalkeeper lay. In the remainder of the first half, little happened in the tame Adelaarshorst. Only Eliano Reijnders shot wide on behalf of PEC Zwolle.

Late start

The second half had a bit more fire from both sides. In the first fifteen minutes, the Deventers fought back a bit. However, the yellow and red did not create any great opportunities. Zwolle came close with an attempt by Younes Namli (over). A misunderstanding at the back for the Eagles ensured that Lennart Thy was given a free path to the goal. Twenty minutes before the end, the German scored coolly. Shortly followingwards, Schendelaar stopped Victor Edvardsen from scoring once more. Deep into the injury time that had already passed, Go Ahead still came alongside. This time a goal was scored from another penalty kick.
