IGA Swiatek avenged her defeat at the Australian Open by beating Czech Rep. Linda Noskova 6-4 and 6-0 in the third round of the Indian Wells Masters, Sunday (10/3).
The world number one tennis player from Poland lost to his opponent ranked 29th in the third round of the Australian Open.
In California, Swiatek quickly recovered following being broken early by Noskova to level at 4-4 in the first set and then swept her opponent clean in the second.
“The first set was exciting. I tried to break her serve,” said Swiatek.

“I tried to stay positive and knew I would get the opportunity. I was ready to seize the moment to equalize and win,” continued the four-time Grand Slam champion.
The 2022 Indian Wells Masters champion now has a 14-4 win-loss record over Noskova.
In the fourth round of the Indian Wells Masters, Swiatek will face the winner of the match between Madison Keys and Yulia Putintseva. (AFP/Z-1)
