Iftar Mahfil at Manarat International University

Manarat International University organized iftar mahfil with teachers and staff.

On Monday (April 10), the iftar ceremony was held in the meeting hall of the university’s permanent campus in Gulshan of the capital. University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam was present as the chief guest.

Acting Treasurer Hafizul Islam Mia presided over the iftar party as the main speaker was prominent Islamic negotiator North Badda Kamil Madrasah Principal and Manarat International University’s Islamic Studies Department part-time teacher Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Mollah. Dean of School of Arts and Humanities and Head Associate Professor of Islamic Studies Department participated in the discussion. Mohammad Obaidullah.

The chief guest at the event was Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam said, Ramadan teaches us to achieve restraint and piety. When this month comes we keep our eyes restrained, keep our mouths restrained, try to stay away from sin. This is the teaching of Ramadan. We have to try to keep this education for the remaining eleven months.

The chief negotiator said that the month of Ramadan is the month of revelation of the Qur’an. Allah transformed the barbaric nation of the dark age into a superior nation with this Qur’an. We have that Qur’an. I might not deal with this Qur’an as I was supposed to do. Can’t take advantage of it. It mentions the acquisition of piety, we cannot take its benefits. May we take the teachings and benefits of the Qur’an in this Ramadan and establish them in our lives, that is our promise.

Abdul Matin, Additional Director of the Student Affairs Department, Registrar Md. Monirul Islam, Head of English Department Ahmed Mahbub-ul-Alam, Head of Law Department Mohammad Azharul Islam, Head of EEE Department KM Aktaruzzaman, Head of CSE Department Sharmina Zaman, Head of Journalism and Media Studies Department Rafikuzzaman and other teachers and officials of various departments were present. In the event, prayers were offered for the welfare and progress of the nation.
