iFood and Oracle announce 8 thousand scholarships for technology courses

iFood and Oracle, a technology company that offers integrated application suites, announced this week the launch of 8,000 scholarships for a programming course for low-income people. Registration is open and interested parties must register by next Wednesday (10) on the program’s official website.

During the class schedule, students will receive in the first phase basic notions of programming logic and personal development, while in the second phase they will be able to choose between Back-End or Front-End training, in addition to taking business agility and entrepreneurship classes, totaling 560 hours of studies.

The scholarships are part of the Potência Tech initiative, by iFood, supported by Movimento Tech, in partnership with Oracle Next Education. The objective is to offer scholarships focused on the employability of underrepresented groups in the technology market, such as women, black people, LGBTQIAPN+ indigenous people, those with disabilities or low income.

All material will be transmitted through the Oracle Next Education education platform, being completely online and free for registrants.

To register, the candidate must meet some prerequisites, such as being over 18 years old, attending or having completed high school in a public school (or private school with a scholarship) and proving that they have a low income.

In addition, the person will need to have at least four hours a day to study, access to a computer with internet and a desire to learn and build a career in technology.
