The high mass of new technologies is in full swing in Berlin until September 5. The IFA has lifted the veil on many products that CNEWS was able to discover on site.

More than 2,000 exhibitors from 48 countries are currently exhibiting in Berlin several thousand high-tech products which will invade the stores at the end of the year. And the major manufacturers have made the trip for this IFA 2023. The largest European show dedicated to new technologies will close its doors on Tuesday, September 5. Our wandering through the aisles gave us a glimpse of interesting ideas or innovations.

Honor V Purse, the handbag-inspired smartphone

This is undoubtedly the mobile phone that turned all heads at the Berlin show. The Chinese manufacturer Honor has unveiled the V Purse, a foldable screen smartphone that shows what technology can offer when it imagines itself as a fashion accessory. Designed on the model of a small handbag, the V Purse can be fitted with jewel straps while its foldable screen facing outwards can display a whole range of images to match your outfit of the day. .

A product that is clearly aimed at a female clientele, with an opening that is released thanks to a small push button. The upper edge houses a photo block. During its presentation to IFA visitors, Honor recalled that the V Purse is currently only a concept that is not intended for sale. The device testifies to the shapes and designs that foldable screens might allow.

A washer-dryer at Roborock

Well known to users of robot vacuum cleaners, the Roborock brand came to Berlin to present its very first washer-dryer: the Zeo One. A product which is not new in itself but which testifies to the attraction of the manufacturers for the care of the linen. Because here Roborock promises a drying system that can be applied to very sensitive textiles such as cashmere for example.

A digital touch screen accompanies this model which will not be transparent as our photo shows. This was a demonstration model at the show to show the various on-board technologies. Up to 10 kg of laundry can be washed, but if you want to find your pile of laundry completely dry when it comes out of the drum, in this case a maximum weight of 6 kg is supported. The Chinese brand intends to first launch its washer-dryer on the German market for a price that should exceed 1,000 euros. For the time being, no launch is planned in France, Roborock coming here to test the market.

A television to celebrate 100 years of Disney at Samsung

Drawing on its experience in televisions, Samsung highlighted its new The Frame Disney 100 edition screen at IFA. A model that intends to mark the 100 years of the American king of entertainment, celebrated this year. This limited-edition TV should be of interest to Disney fans as it will feature more than 100 exclusive images from the Disney archives to serve as tables when on standby, while its remote control gives a nice wink to Mickey with its buttons positioned to recall the face of the famous mouse.

It should be noted that this remote control is solar powered and does not need batteries to operate. The Frame Disney 100 Edition television is displayed as a QLED TV with a matte panel whose single size is 65 inches. The TV is on pre-order at a price of 2,199 euros for delivery by the end of the year, says Samsung France.

Companion robots on the Enabot stand

No IFA takes place without its stand dedicated to robots. This year, it was the Chinese brand Enabot that came with little companions in its suitcases. With their round faces, the little Ebo SE and Ebo Air as well as the big Ebo X paraded on the stand. Already sold or pre-ordered (depending on the version), these models can patrol homes with their camera on wheels, but also be controlled remotely via a mobile app to communicate with loved ones or see if the animals in the household are in good health.

The largest model, Ebo X, incorporates a 4K camera and even has Harman speakers for playing music. It is linked to Alexa to respond to various voice commands. It is offered at a price of 1,099 euros. More affordable, the Ebo SE and Ebo Air models aim to make a place for themselves in families. The Ebo AIr (229 euros) is equipped with a Full HD camera and can be used for video surveillance, or even to capture photos to upload them to Instagram. It is even possible to add a bird feather or a small toy on its head to play with pets and arouse their curiosity. It is also possible to have conversations like with a telephone. The Ebo SE, at 119 euros, incorporates a little less functionality but keeps the essentials: a camera, a speaker and a microphone to keep an eye on the household and converse remotely.

A “hybrid” watch from Withings

The French from Withings had also made the trip across the Rhine to unveil a connected watch, a new showcase for the tricolor brand: the Scanwatch 2. A model that Withings prefers called “hybrid watch” with monitoring of body activity seven days a week. seven and twenty-four hours a day for more than thirty days before having to go through the recharge box. The Scanwatch 2 will be launched in October in France, but pre-orders are open at a price of 349.95 euros.
