Tesla, first participation in IFA 2023… Model Y exhibition
Last year, a home appliance company of the same name participated.

Tesla, an American electric vehicle company, attracted attention by participating for the first time at the’IFA 2023’, Europe’s largest home appliance exhibition being held in Berlin, Germany.
From the 1st to the 5th (local time), Tesla opened its own booth in the ‘Sustainability Village’ prepared in the IFA exhibition hall and welcomed visitors. According to IFA organizers, this is Tesla’s first official participation.
A Model Y vehicle and charging equipment were installed at the Tesla booth. Although the booth was relatively small, with only one car on display, the number of visitors who came to see the Tesla vehicle was as large as any other large booth.
Tesla delivered its sustainability achievements through this exhibition. Tesla introduced detailed information on Model Y’s fuel consumption, carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, and power consumption on an information board installed next to the vehicle. According to Tesla, Model Y’s efficiency rating according to CO2 emissions was A+.
IFA organizers said that not only Tesla but also SpaceX, a space company created by Elon Musk, would participate in the exhibition for the first time at IFA 2023, but they were not included in the list of participating companies.

At last year’s IFA 2022, Serbian home appliance maker ‘Tesla’ presented its own booth and introduced its products. Tesla, a home appliance company, was not well known, and even the corporate logo (CI) was confusingly similar at first glance, so many visitors at the time flocked to the exhibition, asking, “Does Tesla make home appliances?” Electric appliance maker Tesla did not participate in IFA this year, so two Teslas were not directed at the same event.
The company has been named following Serbian physicist and electrical engineer Nikola Tesla since 2011. For reference, Elon Musk also named Tesla from Nikola Tesla.
