iPhones running iOS 17 seem to encounter a small problem during the night which might deactivate the alarm.

Have you missed your alarm in recent days because of your iPhone? Apparently you might not be alone. Some iPhone users (including the latest iPhone 15 and 15 Pro) are reporting on Reddit (via Mac Rumors) similar problems.
A first post reports that two different iPhones, that of the author and that of his son, did not ring on the same morning. In comments, several users indicate that the same mishap has happened to them. “I came straight to this site to see if I wasn’t the only one. My alarms didn’t go off this morning either”indicates one of them. “This happened to my brand new iPhone 15 pro as well as my husband’s 5 year old XS. Both were running the latest version of iOS »reports another person.
A restart in question?
As reported earlier 9to5Mac, since the transition to iOS 17.0.3, some iPhones seem to ask their users for their code rather than Face ID when they wake up. Which would indicate that the phone restarted while they were sleeping.
Proof of this is the battery menu which seems to indicate that the phone was turned off for several hours during the night. Supporting screenshot.

This problem seems to affect iPhone 15s, but also older models. Their common point seems to be the move to iOS 17. It is also worth remembering that not all iOS 17 users seem to be complaining regarding it.
