Akash Doot is one of the hit films produced by Sibi Malail-Dennis Joseph collaboration. Akash Doot is one of the rare movies that still resonates in the minds of Malayalees. Madhavi and Murali were the heroines and heroes of the film, but four child actors were noticed. After the death of his father and mother, the scene where only one of the four is left as an orphan in the church yard will still remain in the hearts of the audience even today.

Renowned music director Ousepachan says that if I tell you that there are Malayalees in the world who do not cry watching Akash Dutt, I will not believe it. He was speaking in an interview with Behind Woods.

“I still cry when I watch some scenes in Akash Doot. In one of the scenes in the movie, the boy who can’t use his leg says to his mother, ‘Isn’t it good that my leg is like this? I can’t stop saying, ‘I want to live with my mother.’

Auseppachan recalled that the director Cibi Malail cried when he heard the tune of the song Rappadi Kezhunvo…, so the first tune of the song was okay.

An important reason for the success of Aakash Dut is the nightingale begging…. Ousepachan added that it is a song and the full feel of the movie is in that song.
