A user of GTAForumswho claims to be behind the recent Uber hackhas just posted nearly 100 videos that it says are development footage of Grand Theft Auto VI by Rockstar. The images are now circulating on almost all social media platforms.
Coinciding with much of what Bloomberg published earlier this year included that the game will co-star a woman and will take place in Vice Citythe videos are largely material in development, with textures and unfinished patterns everywhere, and real-time code playback in many of them. The leaker has asked his followers what else they would like to see in new videos.
In one, a white male playable character meets a racist NPC by a pool. As the conversation progresses, you can see the code of the interaction running along with the game action. In another, the female character (I specify it like this because it would be the first of the series) explore one of the franchise’s infamous strip clubs.
There is also a video ofshows the “passenger shooting mechanic”illustrated with the player shooting an AK-47 to some cars of police chasing him, and another video shows interior modeling of a car.
one of the videos more complete shows both characters teaming up to rob a restaurant, holding up to the employees at gunpoint before the police arrive. Others are cruder in form and feature little more than a character. featureless that moves across an empty landscape and renders combat animations as if in cover.
The legitimacy of these videos is in doubt. certainly there is a lot of footage, and faking so much gameplay as the code running at the same time would be a lot of work for a joke of Internet. But if it is a leakunless Rockstar says something, no we will know which is real until we can compare what is shown here with what finally appears in GTA VI.
And es real then oh my. Given the state of the game and the amount of footage, it would be one of the leaks. greatest of all time at the height of Half-Life 2.
