The eighth episode of the series “The Choice 3”, which is broadcast on Egyptian satellite channels and deals with the events of the Brotherhood’s rule, witnessed a serious leak between the late Brotherhood President Mohamed Morsi and Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, head of the Military Council and Minister of Defense, in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Director of Military Intelligence at the time.
The leak revealed that Mohamed Morsi threatened Field Marshal Tantawi to burn the Brotherhood to Egypt if they lost the presidential elections that were held in June 2012 and took place at that time between him and Lieutenant-General Ahmed Shafiq.
During the leak, Morsi spoke confidently regarding his victory in the elections even before the result was announced, and requested that the result not be changed so as not to set the country on fire.
Morsi said that if the outcome changes, this will lead to a state of turmoil, we do not know how far it will go, and in time no one can confront it.
Field Marshal Tantawi replied, saying: No party will be able to do that, otherwise it will remain a calamity for the whole country, adding by saying that you must inform the Brotherhood that there is no need for such matters.
According to the leak, the interview stated:
Morsi: The result will not change, because if this happens, it will not be detected without God. The wave that exists is a wave of setting fire to those who do not appreciate the responsibility, I do not wish for that and do not agree with it.
The Field Marshal replied: If it happened, someone who tried to set the country on fire would be a calamity for the country and for all of us.. Take care of this and let them have no need for these needs.
Morsi said: The behavior that exists due to the feeling of the present is spontaneous, popular and not planned, so that the Field Marshal boycotted it: it is not planned.
Morsi asked to cancel the decision to dissolve the People’s Assembly, and the Field Marshal said: It is not in my power to cancel the decision, this is a court decision, implementation is a need, and the decision is a need.
Morsi said: I suggested canceling the decision, or referring it to the fatwa and legislation to the extent that he says his opinion, so that the field marshal responds: If you gather the council – he means the military council – and offer them to them, no one will agree to it.
Morsi replied: If people feel that the outcome has changed, the Field Marshal will boycott him: Who are the people? Otherwise, you mean a specific group.. Most of the people say another word.
Morsi added: Changing the outcome will lead to a lot of unrest, and there is a real danger.
