“Now my heart wants to go to Bangladesh forever, but I can’t go because I don’t have a travel document.”

Najma, aged in the Bengali neighborhood of Karachi, was born in Dhaka. She came to Karachi for the first time in many years. Four of his sisters are deceased, one brother and two sisters live in Dhaka. She keeps crying after hearing the news of the recent riots.

Talking to Independent Urdu, Najma said: ‘When I came to know about the riots in Bangladesh, it hit my heart and I cried a lot.

If Bangladesh was near, I would have gone there to check the welfare of my brothers and sisters, but Bangladesh is far away and I need a lot of money to go there, which I don’t have. I have been to Dhaka twice. I wish to go again once in my life.’
