“If she did it all by herself…” –

Sonia Canrossi, the mother of Chiara Petrolini’s boyfriend, the 21-year-old girl from Traversetolo, Parma, mother of the two newborns born about a year apart, both dead and buried by her in her garden, cannot find peace. She is accused of voluntary homicide aggravated by ancestry and premeditation, for having killed the second of the two newborns born, found on August 9th and born two days earlier, of hiding his body and of having made disappear (suppression) that of her firstborn, born in May 2023. She is not being investigated for the murder of the newborn found in September. In fact, the forensic medical examinations on his remains are still underway.

A shocking story that has shocked Italy. “Those who know me know that if I could have done something I would have done it – says the boy’s mother, the biological father of the children – I would have kept this child, I would never have wanted anything like this to happen”, are the words of the woman in an interview on 4 di sera, the program hosted by Paolo Del Debbio on Rete 4, Friday 20 September. “I gave birth to three children and I know that you don’t have children alone, so I don’t know to what extent this is true”, she says on the hypothesis that the girl did it all by herself. “If she did it by herself, she must have been good – she says – I can’t find peace, you can’t understand what someone can feel when they couldn’t do anything”. And again: “I want to know why”.
