If he leaves Manchester United .. “Marca”: Two unparalleled destinations in front of Ronaldo

For the second summer in a row, Cristiano Ronaldo is looking for a new team. Last year, the Portuguese star left Juventus and returned to Manchester United, and now it seems that he wants to move once more, but the problem is that he does not have many options available to him.

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, the Portuguese striker informed his club, Manchester United, of his desire to leave, and then missed the first training session this summer for “family reasons” to add to the momentum of the departure rumors.

Ronaldo has another year on his contract with the English team, whose management insists that he join the pre-season training, as the team plays matches in Thailand and Australia.

Where will Ronaldo go?

The question imposes itself on the football field at present, but the difficulty of answering, according to Marca, lies in the lack of many clubs that can afford the 37-year-old’s salary, knowing that his advanced age further complicates the situation.

Although he scored several goals and performed well individually over the past two seasons, Juventus and then Manchester United did not appear convincingly with Ronaldo in the starting lineup.

According to Marca, in the summer of last year, Ronaldo contacted Real Madrid regarding a possible return, but the royal team officials refused at the time, and this year Real Madrid does not expect the Portuguese star to try once more, and the reason is clear.

Although the royal fans still adore Ronaldo, Real Madrid won the League and Champions League titles weeks ago without him, and now there is no reason for team coach Carlo Ancelotti to risk spoiling the current successful formula, by including a star with the personality and influence of Ronaldo.

Marca adds that if Ronaldo really wants to leave Manchester United, he now has only two potential destinations, where he might move to another club in the Premier League, or to Paris Saint-Germain, because only those teams can afford to pay his high wages.

Although reports linked Ronaldo to Bayern Munich as a possible destination, the Spanish newspaper learned from its sources that the German giant does not want to include Ronaldo, even if he loses his goal machine, Robert Lewandowski, who seeks to leave this summer.

And all of this means that there are not many options for the “Don”, who may eventually have no choice but to surrender, and join Manchester United’s training in preparation for the start of the season, under the leadership of the new coach, Eric Ten Hag.
