The State Electoral Institute of Hidalgo (IEEH) held the Debate between those contending for District 16 Tizayuca, this democratic exercise is part of the 18 Local Debates that are carried out among the registered candidates to compete in the Hidalgo 2024 Elections since to the renewal of the State Congress and have the objective of disseminating the contrast of ideas and proposals between those who participate in these Districts.
As was carried out in previous exercises, this Debate was broadcast through the different digital platforms of this Institute and in various media that join this Electoral Body for maximum dissemination.
In accordance with the Guidelines for the organization of these meetings, the opinion of citizens was taken into account in the selection of the topics to be debated through triggering questions, derived from this exercise, the following topics were selected: Education; Anticorruption and Public Works; and as in previous broadcasts, the candidates had a 2-minute slot in each block, so each candidate managed their own time in order to guarantee an adequate scenario to respond to the triggering questions, present their proposals and make replicas, where appropriate.
During this broadcast, the 5 registered candidates attended, so according to the previously established order of intervention, the first participant was Selene González Hernández, Candidate of the Citizen Movement; followed by Ximena Meza Ramírez, Candidate of the Common Candidacy “Strength and Heart for Hidalgo”; later Ernesto Giovanni González González, Candidate of the Labor Party; followed by Juan Pablo Escalante Urban, Candidate of the Common Candidacy “Let’s Keep Making History in Hidalgo” and finally, Juana Zepeda Ibarra, Candidate of the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico.
The Debate was moderated by Adela García Gómez and Aimé Andrea Lugo, who explained the dynamics to follow and reminded the candidates of the importance of answering the questions sent by citizens.
During the first block, the topic to be discussed was Education and the question determined by citizens was: What strategy would they implement to evaluate the knowledge of professors at all levels? Or do you consider that quality education is currently provided in Hidalgo?
